Objective:
- To construct the circuit
- To testing the circuit operation
Activity:
In this week, the student starts to construct the circuit on the breadboard. The first circuit the student construct is the amplifier/double circuit. This circuit operates like a transformer where it can step up the voltage that goes through it. In this project, by using the transformer is too big for a simple operation, this circuit act as a substitute because of it small enough to connect it together with the other operation circuit in the prototype. The main objective as it states in the FYP title is to make the prototype portable, thus, a smaller component is needed. Next, the student has also constructed 5V voltage regulator. This circuit was constructed on the same breadboard used before and make it connected where the output amplifier connected to the input of regulator circuit. The picture below shows the testing process on the breadboard.
Conclusion:
This can conclude the activity above has done the experiment on the circuit but the circuit constructed were not operated perfectly due to the different value of a component, the student now needs to identify and troubleshoot the problem to fix the error in the constructed circuit. The value of the battery that used for the experiment is enough to power up the amplifier circuit but when it goes through the regulator circuit, it only regulated 6.51V. This value is not the rating voltage for charging electronics devices such as power bank and smartphone. This concludes the activity for the week 7 and will continue to tackle the problem.
